Convert .dbk to .vcf

I Had a serious problem with the contact on my phone that lost after flashing my galaxy gio. The contact is synchronized to google mail before. But when the flashing to GingerBread 2.3.4 done, i can't recover my contacts from google.
But, fortunately i have backed up my Sony Ericsson contacts before. But i got the new problem because the backup file is in the .dbk format that can't be readed by my gio. I tried to search .dbk to .vcf converter in the google, but i didn't found any program that can do that.
And then i found a same problem in the old forum that i don't know what forum is . The responder answered "try to extract them, then u can find contact". Wow.. i don't understand what it's mean.
But, because of that i can resolve the problem. This is what i did :

1. change the .dbk exention to .zip extention
2. extract it
3. you can find contacs.vcf file
4. send it to your phone
5. thats all.. your contacts is back
